When there is little to no accountability for being wrong. This seems to differentiate the economics profession from many others. Then there is also ideology, as well as "the noble lie."

Politics, economics, and climatology are far detached from reality. It has virtually nothing to do with the limits of knowledge, limitations of models, emergent properties or the like. It is just pure dishonesty and lies. Laziness is too generous.
