In Britain you are innocent until proven guilty, but not when it comes to Putin, then it becomes guilty because of 'probably', a verdict wouldn't stand for anyone else. It will eventually get forgotten but the British will have it at the back if their minds that Putin was part of the sinister KGB and he poisons people with plutonium. So, a real nasty guy. That's how propaganda works, and over time they can paint Putin's Russia as the dark empire so the British people will accept his overthrow.
