Eyeopener, although not surprising for those that have been paying attention to education.

It would explain all those "Russian hackers" running amok.

It would explain all those "Russian hackers" running amok.

As Putin said recently.

And look at Anonymous in the US.

Anonymous are probably anarchists, or have too much to lose to risk revealing their identity.

They view themselves as "patriots," which is the way that Putin characterized Russian hackers.

Putin and other Russian officials say that Russia is under constant attack by US hackers, and they don't attribute it all to the government or government-sponsorship. Much of it is with criminal intent.

Criminals don't release videos about political topics like these Guy Fawke mask wearing "patriots" do. If Russia had the equivalent of Anonymous, they'd be targeting the Russian government and its appendages.

Their message is anti-statist, which leads me to believe there is some level of anarchist or libertarian thought behind it.

Revolutions are not anonymous, so this hysteria over hacking is unwarranted. It's good for pushing the Cold War narrative though.

Some of this hacking is for shits and giggles - or for the technical challenge. No malicious intent behind it.
