I was listening to Radio 4 once when I heard this amazing story. They were interviewing an African policeman who had convicted one of his country's too criminals. The criminal was top politician and as the policeman was about to nail him the politician offered him £millions, a huge amount, maybe 10, 20 if he would drop the case and destroy the evidence. The policemen accepted the the deal and said he would only destroy the evidence once he had the money, and asked for it to be put in a van and to be taken what he considered to be safe place. Once the van was dropped there he got his team to get the van and he convicted the politician.

The interviewer said to the policeman that he had offered the him a deal that he thought no one could ever refuse and the policemen said that it wasn't good money and besides, he was a policeman.

Not many people can resist bribery, especially if they haven't got any money. It's sad.

A manager at my company who was a devout christian gsve a contract to a company and they did his whole bathroom up for him.
